ErrorHub / ErrorHub vs Sentry

ErrorHub vs Sentry: what you give up and what you get

If you pay for Sentry but only use its error tracking, ErrorHub does that one job for €9 a month excl. VAT with unlimited errors: one HTTP request per error, no SDK, data stored in Germany. You give up everything else Sentry does: session replay, tracing, profiling, logs, cron and uptime monitoring, automatic breadcrumbs, source maps, its MCP server and self-hosting. If your team uses any of those, stay with Sentry.

What you give up when you move from Sentry to ErrorHub

ErrorHub tracks errors and nothing else. These parts of Sentry have no ErrorHub equivalent:

  • Session replay of what the user did before the error.
  • Tracing and performance monitoring: spans, transactions and slow requests.
  • Profiling, billed per hour.
  • Logs, metrics, cron and uptime monitoring, each with its own quota.
  • SDK auto-instrumentation and breadcrumbs: Sentry's SDKs install global error handlers and record the events that led up to each error. With ErrorHub you add a small reporter yourself, and an event carries only what you send.
  • Source maps: Sentry maps minified JavaScript stacks back to your source. ErrorHub stores browser stacks as they are sent.
  • The Sentry MCP server and Seer: a hosted MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, and an AI debugging agent. ErrorHub has neither.
  • Self-hosting: Sentry runs on your own servers, with at least 4 CPU cores and 16 GB of RAM. ErrorHub is hosted only.
  • Longer history and more alert channels: up to 90 days and integrated tools on Sentry Team, 30 days and web push on ErrorHub.

What you get with ErrorHub instead of Sentry

  • One endpoint, no SDK. Every app sends one HTTPS POST to /api/v1/events from its global error hook, in any language with an HTTP client. Error tracking without an SDK has the contract and reporters for six stacks.
  • A flat price. €9 a month excl. VAT for unlimited error events, projects and users. No quota and no overage charge, so an error that loops during an outage does not raise the bill.
  • One kind of data. No spans, replays or sampling to tune: one inbox for every project, duplicates grouped into issues, and regressions that reopen with an alert.
  • EU hosting, less data. Events and issues are stored by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, and events are deleted after 30 days. The event format has no field for bodies, headers or cookies, and secrets are redacted on the server.
  • Fix prompts for your coding agent. Every issue has a prompt for Claude Code, Cursor or Codex with the stack trace, request, release and environment, the error marked as data.

Choose Sentry over ErrorHub if

Sentry is the better tool when any of these is true:

  • You use, or plan to use, replay, tracing, profiling, logs, cron or uptime monitoring.
  • You need readable stacks from source maps for minified JavaScript.
  • You want breadcrumbs and context captured by an SDK, without writing a reporter.
  • You build mobile apps or games, or need stack-frame grouping for languages other than .NET and JavaScript. ErrorHub groups those by exception type and message.
  • You need self-hosting, SAML single sign-on, or compliance items such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, which Sentry lists on its pricing page.
  • You want Slack alerts, more than 30 days of history, an MCP server or a built-in AI agent.
  • You are one developer under 5,000 errors a month: Sentry's Developer plan is free, and ErrorHub has no free plan.
  • You want a long track record. ErrorHub is new and has no independent reviews yet.

Choose ErrorHub over Sentry if

  • You open Sentry for the issues list and nothing else.
  • You run several apps, in several languages or on serverless functions, and want one inbox and one bill.
  • You want the price to stay €9 a month however many errors your apps send.
  • You would rather send one HTTP request than add and update an SDK in every app.
  • You want error data kept in Germany, without request bodies, headers or query strings.

Moving from Sentry to ErrorHub

  1. Create an account and start the 7-day trial. A card is needed; cancel before it ends and nothing is charged.
  2. Add a reporter to each app's global error hook, next to the Sentry SDK. A coding agent can write it from the project's install prompt.
  3. Compare what both show you during the trial.
  4. Remove the Sentry SDK when ErrorHub covers what you need. ErrorHub starts empty: past issues stay in Sentry.

FAQ: ErrorHub vs Sentry

Is ErrorHub a Sentry alternative?

Yes, for error tracking only. ErrorHub collects errors over one HTTP API, groups them into issues and alerts when an error is new or comes back. It does not replace Sentry's replay, tracing, profiling, logs, cron or uptime monitoring.

Can I keep using Sentry's SDKs with ErrorHub?

No. ErrorHub has its own event format: one HTTPS POST with a small JSON document from the app's global error hook. You can run that reporter next to the Sentry SDK while you compare.

How much does ErrorHub cost compared with Sentry?

ErrorHub has one plan: €9 a month excluding VAT, with unlimited error events, projects and users and 30 days of history, after a 7-day trial that needs a card. On 11 October 2026 Sentry's Team plan cost $26 a month billed annually for 50,000 errors, and its free Developer plan covered one user and 5,000 errors.

Where does ErrorHub store data compared with Sentry?

ErrorHub stores events and issues on Hetzner servers in Germany and deletes events after 30 days. Sentry lets a new organization choose the US (Iowa) or the EU (Frankfurt), and the choice cannot be changed later.
